Freelance designer
I’m Ramy Magdi — a digital designer who’s spent the last several years helping founders and product teams make their ideas feel polished, trustworthy, and effortlessly clear. I work at the intersection of strategy and craft.

My story
I started out as a graphic designer, obsessing over typography and layout systems before I ever touched a web tool. That foundation shaped everything — I tend to think in grids, hierarchies, and whitespace before I think in features.
Over the years that foundation expanded. I studied UX principles, got comfortable in code enough to understand what engineers actually build, and started working with early-stage teams where I had to wear every design hat at once. That breadth became the most useful thing I could offer.
Today I focus on helping small teams and founders design websites, onboarding flows, and brand systems that feel credible and easy to navigate. I care about the quiet details — the spacing that feels right, the button that doesn’t fight for attention, the structure that lets the content breathe.

My approach
How I think about design.
Three principles that shape every engagement, from the first brief to the final hand-off.
Clarity first
Every decision should make the site easier to understand, not just more visually interesting. Complexity is the enemy of trust.
Craft in the details
The work should feel considered down to the pixel. Spacing, weight, and alignment are not afterthoughts — they’re how quality shows.
Collaboration over delivery
The best outcomes happen when the designer and the team think together. I stay close to the brief and open to the context your team brings.
How I work
A clear process for a focused output.
Every engagement follows the same four-phase structure so nothing gets skipped and every decision has a clear reason.
01
Discovery & brief
Deep dive into the product, audience, and goals. We align on what success looks like and what content we’re working with before anything is designed.
02
Structure & wireframes
Hierarchy, flow, and content placement take shape low-fidelity first. Structure decisions are faster to revise than visual ones. Structure decisions are faster to revise than visual ones.
03
Visual design & refinement
The full visual layer is applied with typography, spacing, color, and motion working together. Two feedback rounds keep scope in check.
04
Hand-off & support
Clean deliverables, annotated design files, and a brief support window after launch so the team feels confident taking the site forward.
